STRAIT is a Singapore marketplace for original works encountered in hotels, then acquired with a clear price in SGD. Hotel encounter and fixed-price works stay calm — no bidding on the wall. Live auctions run separately at /auctions.
The QR path
Each placement has a plaque. Scan it. You land on a page for that work, in that hotel, with that wall in mind — /h/[hotel]/w/[work]. No app install. First purchase is meant to happen on the phone you already hold.
The Phase 1 hang is one wing: a lobby lounge and its adjoining corridor, not every floor of the house.

A curated catalogue online. Provisional band S$2,000–25,000. Transparent fees: listed price includes GST; STRAIT does not add a buyer’s premium.
Encounter
See the work where guests already walk. Example hotel partners in this preview illustrate the hang — they are not live endorsements.
Acquire
Checkout in SGD (Stripe when keys are present). Provenance, shipping estimate, certificate at handover, 14-day returns.
